Chapter 1 complete as well as all main mechanics
Hi everyone, it's been a while. I know I haven't made a devlog in a while but it has been a little difficult with the impact of the pandemic. I wanted to announce the completion of the first chapter of Virtual-Man. I finished it just a few days ago and completed the final tweaks yesterday. I was originally going to release the game as a one chapter game with about 10-11 levels and add more to it as just updates but instead I want to make the game longer and better so I will add 2 more chapters and about 20 or more levels to the game. New mechanics and weapons like melee weapons and explosives will be added. After the completion of all 3 chapters I will add an online mode where you could battle your friends in virtual man styled online combat(will most likely start as a LAN mode and will then transform into full online because server coding is extremely difficult). As of mechanics and advancements in the game completed there are quite a few, Gun jumping was perfected as well as the item shop. Both the miniboss and the final boss of chapter 1 were completed. Multiple new weapons were added to the game as well as new character art and game music. New levels were added and the main enemies of chapter 1: The cops were nerfed because after a few of my friends test-played the game they reported that the cops were too strong with a little too much health, and unbalanced accuracy with them hitting almost every shot. All the current game glitches were patched which is great. That's pretty much it. As always stay safe and have a great day.
